Are you ok?

Sometimes the simple questions are the hardest.

"Are u ok?''

You may think the answer is either yes or no, as simple as that. If you compare how many times you say yes to that question with no, you will probably realise your answer is always yes. You may say yes without even thinking most of the time.

Why?

Is it becoz you are always at the top of your form when people ask you 'r u ok?'
Or
Is it becoz that is what people always expect as an answer?
Or
Is it becoz you are afraid that people will start asking if you say no?
Or
Is it becoz you think giving a positive yes will make others happy, despite your own feelings?

Happiness is meant to be shared because it doubles when you share it
Sorrow is better kept to yourself although people say shared grief is half the sorrow
Why should you make others as sad as you when they don't deserve it?
You will appreciate it if you have a shoulder to cry on, an ear that listens and a hand to hold when you are down but you wont want the whole world to grieve with you.
The pain will still linger even if the world falls apart.

So, think twice before you ask someone who is obviously unhappy "are you ok?''
Perhaps a smile, a pat on the shoulder or a hug is more comforting than asking ''are you ok?''

when some1 ask that, its a chance for u to share ur sorrow. i know its seems like a simple ques that often taken for granted, honestly 99% of the time i say yes although i feel like shit inside, but just couldnt be bothered sometimes.

why burden other ppl, isnt it?

but thats wad frens are for.. we care and we want u to know we r always here for u..

imagine that if everyone is bottled up saying they r ok.. isnt the world just filled with hypocrites?

*hugsss* u r not alone

-from a fellow hypocrite

I know friends stay through thick and thin.By saying you r not ok, they will do what they can to cheer you up becoz they care. But, there are times you just dowan to be around anyone. It hurts more when you have to fake a smile on your face and bleed inside.
So,better a hypocrite than a crybaby.

i think "ru ok?" is a sign that "i'm here to talk if you want to" hahahahahaha. thats wut i think lah.

coz maybe at that moment the person in pain doesnt want to/ not ready yet to share how he/she felt ....but once they are ready, they will find u.

coz they know that you care. just by asking the simple question "ru ok?"

my opinion lerrrr :))

''r u ok?'' can also be a greeting or some ppl's habitual way of starting a conversation, depending on who says it and what situation.

Say u encounter an acquaintance who looks upset, you may ask him/her that for the sake of showing you care as a friend without expecting him/her to open up to you coz you know he/she wont.

mot just the person in pain is not ready to share, the person who asks might not be ready to listen too
